Congratulations to the 20 children who participated in the Earth Day 2021 Book- Letters to the Future Me. The amazing collection of words, music and art was published on 22nd April 2021 as our first initiative to create environmental awareness through the voices of children from different parts of the world. Letters to the Future Me-2, is a continuation of this project. Children who are 6 years and up can submit a creative expression in the form of a letter to themselves, 1-10 years from now. Be it 2022 or 2031, can you look back and check, how you felt about your planet, today? What did you plan to do? How did you make the change happen? You can choose if you would like to set goals for 1 year, 2 years or 10 years from now. What would you tell yourself when you are a bit older? Letters can be in the form of illustrations, words, audio or video. Please fill in this form for further information about the project. Project Objective: Increasing self awareness, setting goals, taking charge of one's own words and actions. End goal: Depends on the kind of responses, the collection can be a book or a video. Deadline for submission of entries: September 20th 2021

Calling all budding photographers aged 6 years and up. Pick up a camera and capture photos that tell a story under the theme: Little creatures. There are insects we stomp on. There are birds we ignore. There are many more we abhor. Look out for all those little ones we often forget about (or avoid). More often than not, these creatures play a very important role in our ecosystem. This project is looking for photo stories by children, who can capture images of small creatures, and share them with everyone. It will be nice to share feelings, sentiments about the subject of the photograph and post it via Instagram with the hashtag: #littlecreaturescollab For further involvement, Please fill in the form for further details. Project Objective: Develop skills of observations, research, sensitivity, and empathy. End goal: An online interactive exhibition of photo stories by the participants using the hashtag #littlecreaturescollab Selected photos with dialogues will be turned into a comic at a later date. Deadline for submission of entries: July 30th, 2021 Follow-up activity: Children are encouraged to submit their photos with fun, creative dialogues for the Little Creatures Comic project. Example: I was walking on the pavement on a rainy afternoon when I caught sight of this snail. It looked so eager to get out on the slippery pavement, ready for a journey. Wonder what was it looking for? I think it's saying, " The traffic is bad today. I will be late for work." (Photo by Tinni, Bangkok)

It started with an Earth poem that my 7 year old daughter's friend wrote. I was moved and fascinated with the conversations that these children were having about the future of this planet. The idea here is that children of similar age group, share their thoughts about our future that can be showcased on Earth Day 2021. I will help in collating all the materials in the form an e-book (or a physical book if possible). All material should reach me (arunima.design@gmail.com) by 28th March'21. It's a tight deadline for sure! Since you have shown an interest, here is a form to fill which would help in planning this project together, better. Project Objective: Develop skills of research, communication and artistic explorations. End goal: An e-book (and a physical book, if possible), by Earth Day 2021 Deadline for submission of entries: March 28th 2021 Follow up activity: Letters to the Future Me part 2
